Vibe Coding vs Traditional Front-End Development

Vibe coding for front-end means describing a UI in a prompt and letting an AI tool generate the component or layout. Traditional front-end development means writing component code by hand from a design spec. The choice depends on phase: vibe coding is faster for early exploration and first drafts; traditional development is more reliable for complex state, edge cases, and components that need to integrate with a mature codebase.

Vibe coding and traditional front-end development are not opposites. Understanding when each approach pays off is more useful than arguing for one over the other.
